  • Issues And Pain Points

A U.S. military aerospace client required precise temperature and relative humidity control for a specialized spray application and coating material.

The process also required the ability to cure the product inside the spray booth, adding another layer of environmental control.

The installation site presented a tight footprint with limited access, creating additional challenges for equipment placement, duct routing, and utility coordination.

  • Grapek Bates Solution

Grapek Bates Engineering, working in consultation with the manufacturer, designed a custom climate-controlled recirculating spray booth tailored to the client's application.

The recirculating design helped reduce air usage and energy demand, while an integrated Air Make Up Unit provided conditioned air for heating, cooling, and relative humidity control.

Grapek Bates managed the installation from start to finish, including the spray booth, exterior Air Make Up Unit, insulated ductwork, utility coordination, and integrated controls tied back to a touchscreen control panel.

  • Grapek Bates Implementation Results

Grapek Bates provided full start-up support and multiple operator training sessions to ensure the system was configured around the client's operating requirements.

On-site control panel setup and programming were completed in consultation with the client to support a complete and functional system handoff.

Following installation, Grapek Bates continued to provide on-site service and additional training to support new operators and maintain consistent system performance.
