Sames Airmix® Gun Filters

A clean filter is your first line of defense against tip plugging and finish defects. Sames Airmix® gun filters sit in the fluid tube of the gun, catching debris before it can block the tip. The Xcite™ Airmix® Gun ships with a #6 filter, 85 mesh (168µ), as standard. Swapping in the right mesh for your material keeps your spray pattern clean and your line running.

Choosing the right size: the mesh number is how many openings there are per inch of screen, so the higher the number, the finer the filter.

• 140 mesh (#4): finer filtration for thinner materials and smaller tips, where small particles are more likely to cause plugging.
• 85 mesh (#6): the standard Sames offering. Best for heavier-bodied materials such as primers, high-solids coatings and pigmented paints, which need to flow freely without clogging the screen.
• 50 mesh (#12): Course filtration for larger oriface Airmix Spray Tips.
